There are so many good lines in this song, it was hard to choose what I wanted to do! In the end, I decided I wanted to do a playful page that expresses who I am, and my art journal seemed like the best place to capture that! I played around with my favorite colors and patterns, and used gesso to include my own handprints. This was a lot of fun!

I love this song . . . when I listened to the lyrics, it was difficult for me to chose the one I liked best! But I thought of the piano recital that Anne was just in - I was asked to play a duet with her and I was absolutely THRILLED to do so! We played "You'll be in my heart," one of my favorite songs. We both felt musical that day!

I read the lyrics as I normally do and the words "the best ME that I can be" are the ones I like the best. I took pictures of little me, which I edited with Photoshop and printed for another project I didn't realize yet.

Patricia
My daughter and I were watching Sesame Street when this song first came out. I had found it on YouTube, and we watched and listened over and over again. One of our favorite songs.

That is what I really wish for my son.

Amy
The lyrics to this song are so amazing. I'm sure I'll use them again for another project. :) I originally started this as a paper & scissors project, and then went digital, because I decided the lyrics were so cool, I wanted to print this on a canvas for my sweetheart's room.

Now it's Your Turn!

Here are the design team layouts for "Every Time We Touch..."

I was so excited to capture this photo of Willie watching TV with Michael. His little paw on Michael's arm is so expressive of his love for his "dad."

I used the lyrics "I want this to last forever" for my layout about the country I love most of all. When I stayed there I enjoyed every second and hoped my vacation will last forever, but unfortunately they never did.

I took this photo of John and me in a mirror at the Lourve in Paris this past fall. This romantic song made me think of our romantic trip and how much I need him by my side.

I loved the lyrics, "Your Heart is My Sky." I could have never thought of beautiful words to express feelings. It made me think of how my daughter lights up when she smiles. These pictures are from her Valentine's party at her school.

I too was really caught by the lyrics "your heart is my sky." I saw this photo my oldest daughter had taken of herself, and I thought about all the things she's struggled with in the past few years; but through it all, her heart has become even more beautiful and deep. The hearts of all of my children are my sky, for sure. :)

I didn't get far into the song to know exactly what lyrics I wanted to use...
My Mom will have been gone for 9 years in March, but
I still hear her voice : .)

Bina

I almost never scrap in pink. This time with the picture of my son being a girl for carnival I had the chance. When he finished with dressing up, my heart almost stood still. I was so amazed. Can you believe how he looks?

THIS WEEK'S NEW CHALLENGE!!!

Our song for this week is a jazzy little number that was chosen for you by DT member Frauke! The song is "That Man," by Caro Emerald. Check out the video and see if you are not singing along by the end!!! I know I was...

Check out the lyrics by clicking on the tab at the top of the page for more inspiration. There are plenty of scrappable lyrics there, even if you don't feel like scrapping about a man! (LOL)

Here is what the design team came up with for "That Man..."

Michelle

The lyric "twisting round on a carousel" brought back wonderful memories of my husband's and my recent trip to Paris. I love carousels, and Paris had the very best ones . . . especially at night!

I'm not sure if I ever told my husband that he is that man who made me forget all my childish plans I had for my future, now he knows...

Patricia
21 years married and counting ;) This song inspired me to make a quick list of some tidbits about that man of mine.

and now.....
ON TO THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE!!!

We have a super fun song for you this week!!! One that I think we can all relate to! The song is "Art" by Tanya Davis; and not only is it an awesome song, but check out the super-creative video...

How fun is that? We were really inspired by this song, and we hope you are too! You can read the lyrics by clicking the tab at the top of the page.

Here are the design team projects for "Art..."

The lyrics to this song remind me of something I would write about in my daily journal, so I decided an art journal page would be the perfect place for them!

Sharon
When I saw this song's lyrics, I thought "yes, my heart loves art." And it starts with a photograph!

I could relate to the words of this song so much..."trying to follow my heart." So I gave myself permission to just play...

I have lots of photos taken during my sightseeing tours through Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne or even my hometown. There's no better song than "Art" to gather all the sculptures and artsy things, isn't it.

In each envelope is a little letter from the smallest son in our family. Just some kind words for each of us in his own spelling (just in second grade). He was so excited about Christmas.

Now it's Your Turn!
