Hi everyone and Happy May 1st! The design team has been busy voting and we have a winner for our "Good Days" challenge!

Congratulations goes to SANDRA, who created this beautiful layout!!!
Congratulations Sandra! Your layout will now hang in the STM Hall of Fame!

Thank you also to everyone who played along with us this week! Your layouts were all so beautiful and we appreciate each one of you!!!

Note: We are still looking for a May sponsor. If you have an etsy or other store that you would like to promote, sponsoring Scrapping The Music with a prize is a great way to do it! Send an email to michellelapoint@yahoo.com for more information.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Anne Gaffney-Iehl for being an awesome guest designer during March and April! Anne, we have loved working with you and showcasing your work! Thank you soooo much!

And now, I'd like to introduce you to our guest designer for May and June! She is a faithful participant at STM and is a member of our hall of fame...

Please welcome Karen Williams!

My name is Karen Williams and I am a 37 year old mother of three who has been
scrapbooking since the birth of my daughter almost four years ago.

Originally from the UK, I am currently living in the Netherlands, hence my new
found SAHM status, (In the UK I was a teacher). I like simple scrapping, half
an hour is my average time on a LO, and with three children in the house you
can understand why. I set myself the challenge of making 365 LOs last year, I
stopped count in November when I got to 370! I plan the same for this year
too. (I am already over 300).

I love chocolate, pizza boxes from the postman, day trips to Amsterdam, shoes,
crime novels, knitting, CSI on TV, baking, taking photographs, Strictly Come
Dancing
/Dancing with the Stars, scrapbooking of course, and the spring,
I hate talking about myself, bananas, dentists, taking my children for jabs,
making phone-calls, having my hair cut, bananas, that I still bite my
nails, snow and my oven. (the oven is a long story) (yes bananas is in there
twice- I really hate bananas - another long story)

My favourite paper crafting supply is paper- It's the product I buy most of- I
love to use it to make my own embellishments- and I love LOs that allow the
paper plenty of space to show off! I am completely obsessed with polka dot
papers at the moment.

and now........
It's time for our next challenge!!!

It's movie time again here at Scrapping The Music, and this time around we are paying tribute to a super cool indie movie called "Once," by featuring the theme song called "Once." We usually like to include the song with actual movie clips from the video, but that wasn't available for embedding this time, so we went with the next best thing - a live version of this beautiful song! If you want to see the actual movie clips with the song too, you can click here. Even if you haven't seen the movie, you may remember the theme song from last year's American Idol show, when Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox sang it together. That version is here. With all these options we hope you will be as inspired as we were to scrap with this song! You can click on the widget in the sidebar to read the lyrics.

Here are our design team creations for our "Falling Slowly" challenge...

Guest Designer Karen...
It's called " I can't react" and really there are hundreds of photos I could have
used for my intended purpose- It's always dangerous to start laughing when the
children have got up to something naughty so it's best not to " react" I chose a picture of Nancy when she had painted her own face with poster paints but i could have chosen the picture of Arthur plastered in my make up, or the wall after Stanley had drawn on it, or the floor covered in nail varnish after Nancy tried to put it on herself or - well you get the picture!

Sharon (Fritchey)

Sometimes I let my dark moods get the best of me. I have a great support system at home and work to help me through tough times.

I love my grandson not only when he´s in good mood...

Linda...

My homage to hummingbirds in hand embroidery. I watched a Mama hummingbird raise her babies right off my porch earlier this spring. The song lyric is a message to the babies : .)

On a recent walk with my hubby Michael, the daffodils were blooming, so I had to take a picture. Spring always seems like a hopeful time, with all of the new life popping up everywhere. It seemed to fit just right with this lyric.

"Home"
We are so happy to be home!
