Challenge #4--My Sacrifice
Talk about diversity! Well, this week we are really going to be rockin' with the song "My Sacrifice" by Creed. For some reason, the song is taking a while to load. Please be patient. Make sure you read the lyrics because there are some really good lines in there to inspire. If you decide to complete this challenge I have included a link for you to use to post creation. However, if you would rather just post the link in the comment section that is fine too. We love to hear what you think, so please stop by and leave us a comment. We would love to hear from you! Thanks!!!

Our featured scrapper this week is a very creative lady by the name of Aleida Franklin. Her layout is very heart felt and amazingly beautiful. Please make sure you read the journaling. It is included at the bottom of the post along with her short biography. She really is an amazing scrapper.
Journaling reads: Because I was tired of seeing how severely unhappy you were in your career path, that when your golden career opportunity finally presented itself, I agreed to take the leap of faith by packing up everything and uprooting us and the children to adventure towards a new life in a whole different area of the country. Little did I realize how difficult this change would be for me down the road. I was not prepared for the emptiness and sadness I would feel inside as a result of leaving behind my family, friends, a great job market and a city that had been my home for thirty-eight years. My love, trust and belief in your capabilities runs so deep, that this is my sacrifice.
Biography:
"I am a happily married mother of an adorable five year old son, Joshua who never ceases to amaze me with his insight and imagination and a rebellious two year old daughter, Isabella, who is very much like her mama. I am blessed to have a husband who understands and support my scrapbooking obsession. I was introduced to this craft five years ago and spent four of those years just shopping for supplies and reading every idea book on the subject. I am a native Chicagoan and moved down to Dallas, Texas about a year and a half ago. It was not until we moved to Texas that I started to scrapbook to cease the homesickness that overcame me. I work full-time as a legal secretary and for my sanity I work part-time at a scrapbook store where I also teach. I am thankful and honored for the opportunity to be this week's featured designer. I welcome you all to this amazingly fun site and look forward to seeing your layouts."
By the way, I have a suprise for you coming in October!

This week's featured scrapper is Rachel Whetzel. She has created an amazing layout for every challenge posted thus far. Please make sure you read her bio. It really is a good one!
Rachel Whetzel
I am a Top Security Level Officer in the Department of Matrimony (that's fancy for Mom and Wife). Parchment Memory Preservationist (that's fancy for PAPER Scrapbooker). Surveillance Operator (that's fancy for Photographer). Internet Writer & Editor (that's fancy for Blogger). Creative Medium Expressionist (that's fancy for Artist) Childhood Intellect & Creativity Nurturer (that's fancy for Teacher). Vermicomposter (that's fancy for worm farmer). Vegitation Cultivator (that's fancy for gardener). Domestic Domain Cleanser (that's fancy for housekeeper). Yep. I'm fancy, baby!
I've been scrapping for about 9 years now, and just this year, became a permanent Design Team member on TallyScrapper.com. Tally's Design Team is chosen by members, and changes quarterly. I am also the TallyCommunicator on TallyScrapper.com, which is just fancy for "talks a lot" and I have a job doing it!
My blog address http://minetothine.blogspot.com
I just wanted to take a minute to tell everyone that the response to this site has been truly amazing! The Design Team call will end on September 22nd and the submissions received thus far have been outstanding! Music really is a true source of inspiration for scrapping the proof of which is visible in the layouts inspired by either the lyrics or the rhythm.

Challenge #2--Say it Right
Welcome or welcome back to Scrapping the Music! If this if your first time here, this site is totally about music, inspiration, and scrapbooking. If you were here last week, I an thrilled that you are back!!!!
This weeks challenge is to use the song "Say it Right" by Nelly Furtado as your inspiration. Music inspires in so many different ways. Joni captured the passion that this song inspires and I just went with the title as my inspiration. I can't wait to see how this song inspires you and what you create. Here is a link for you to post you completed layouts or you can add the link in a comment.

This week's our featured scrapper is Joni Moore from Southern California. Joni is part of a scrapbook design team for 2ScrappyChix Designs. She also helps maintain a scrapbook sketch site called ScrapRoomBlueprints. She is a very devoted mother and one of the most caring and supportive people I know.
Here is a layout I created. I loved the title of the song and wanted to use it for this layout. It was so funny to hear my 2 year old reading this book all by herself.
One final note. I have decided to add a Design Team to the blog. If you love scrapping and enjoy finding inspriation in music then I would love for you to apply. The information should be posted on PubCalls very soon, so please keep an eye out if you are interested.
